I provide two types of therapy services:

  1. Traditional couples therapy
  2. Private intensive retreats with couples.

Traditional Couples Therapy

With traditional couples therapy, you attend as your calendar permits. Sessions are private, confidential and customized to fit your needs and lifestyle. The entire program is designed around EFT for the purpose of supporting your relationship.

Private Intensive Retreats for Couples

Intensives retreats are designed to get results quickly. They are private—that is, only for you and your partner. They move fast and are based on EFT. Intensives are a powerful means for beginning the healing process and for starting to feel close again. They make it possible for you to stop that downward spiral and to reconnect. There are two types of private intensive retreats: (1) 1 Day Couples Intensive, and (2) 2 Day Couples Intensive.

The 1 Day: Couples Intensive accomplishes what traditional couples therapy does in about six weeks. In one day, we will work together for six hours. During this time, we will: (1) identify you and your partner’s issues and concerns, (2) re-establish the intentions that you have for your relationship, (3) start to understand the negative cycles that are robbing you of the kind of relationship you want, (4) begin to attune to the role of primary emotions in your relationship, and (5) set in motion the process of communicating in ways that feel safer, clearer, and that bring you closer to your partner.

The 2 Day: Couples Intensive accomplishes what traditional couples therapy does in about ten weeks. In two days, we will work together for ten hours. During the first day, we will follow the same format as a 1 Day Intensive. On the second day, building on the work we did on the first day, we will work together for four more hours. During this time, we will: (1) begin the process of re-engaging, (2) set in action a softer way of relating, (3) start communicating emotions in ways that are clearer and safer, (4) learn more about expressing deep relational needs, and (5) start to respond to your partner’s needs with warmth and generosity.
